A comprehensive, regularly updated guide to artist-run spaces, museums, galleries, festivals, regular and pop-up exhibitions, and more across Cyprus
Coming Fall 2026SYNO is a contemporary art institution based in Limassol, Cyprus, dedicated to humanism, pluralism, and non-extractive cultural collaboration
Launching through a year-long soft launch in 2026, SYNO will introduce its core platforms — including the Cyprus Contemporary Art Map, the Curated Cyprus Artist Registry, and the Yearbook — and will present selected initiatives publicly at Vima Art Fair in May 2026.
Rooted in Cyprus’s histories of coexistence and shaped by its diverse contemporary communities, SYNO operates as a living infrastructure for making, learning, and co-creation — a framework where cultural work develops through reciprocity and respect for individual agency.
SYNO’s growth is incremental and open: the foundation will continue to evolve beyond 2026, shaped by relationships and feedback developed throughout its soft-launch year

My practice moves between photography and installation, tracing how the Cypriot coastline holds memory — of migration, of trade, of the bodies of water that both divide and connect.

My practice moves between photography and installation, drawn to the Cypriot coastline as a living archive — of migration, trade and the tides that both divide and connect the island.

Painted along the Famagusta shoreline across a single winter, the work builds the coast in slow layers of oil and salt-worn light — a study of memory held at the water's edge.

Born in Nicosia; based between Cyprus and Berlin. The island's coastline has been the centre of my work since 2022.
The three works come from the same body of research — long-exposure photographs made at the waterline, and the installation of salt-crusted objects they grew out of. Together they trace how the shore holds trade, migration and tide.
The project is site-responsive — I'd adapt the final installation to the exhibition space at NiMAC.

NiMAC is a contemporary arts centre in the heart of Nicosia. Its programme brings together exhibitions, public conversations, research and learning across Cyprus and the region.
Emails about your own actions — open call results, invitations to manage a page, event reviews — always arrive and can’t be switched off. Below is only what we send on our own initiative.
Deleting your account permanently removes everything that belongs to you — your artist profile, works and the applications you sent. Organisation pages don’t belong to an account: access passes to the other admins, and a page you managed alone goes back to Syno.
